What Is Twitter?

I love Twitter, and I’ve tried to spread that love far and wide. A question I’ve been asked by many is “what is Twitter?”. It’s not an easy to question to answer as it can be many things to many people, and what it is to you really depends upon what you want from it.
But I have now found, what for me is, the perfect description; from Chris Hardwick in an interview with Lifehacker.com:
Twitter is a guy you can always elbow in the side and say, “Hey, look, a guy in a clown suit just threw up!”
I’m using that from now on – marvellous!

oh well, hello any-how, from an ex-pat, ive been living in new zealand for 30 years, nice reading your pages about Cornwall,london pickpockets etc.
i originally come from Yealmpton(near Plymouth)but havn’t been back “Home”
if you want a really good holliday, you should consider way down here,very nice,no pickpockets,great outdoor stuff-camping,fishing,sun,mountains.

I think I get a few people looking for the other David Hughes; I love the sound of “Hughesy Loses It” – sounds like a title I could steal.
New Zealand is definitely on my list of places to visit; it looks gorgeous.
